The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported on Wednesday that two Palestinians were killed\u2014one of them recovered from beneath the rubble\u2014and ten others were injured during the past 24 hours, as the humanitarian and medical situation in the Strip continues to deteriorate under ongoing Israeli attacks.
\nThe ministry said that many victims remain trapped under collapsed buildings and in the streets, with ambulance and civil defense crews still unable to reach them due to destroyed roads, ongoing fire, and the lack of heavy rescue equipment.
\nSince the \u201cceasefire\u201d framework announced on October 11, the ministry has documented 424 Palestinians killed and 1,199 injured, in addition to 685 bodies recovered from beneath the rubble.
\nThe cumulative toll since the beginning of the Israeli assault on October 7, 2023, has risen to 71,391 killed and 171,279 injured.
\nThe Ministry of Health warned that Gaza\u2019s medical system is entering a catastrophic phase due to the near\u2011total depletion of laboratory and blood\u2011bank supplies.
\nAccording to the report, 75 percent of chemical testing materials are unavailable, while 90 percent of blood\u2011testing and transfusion supplies have reached zero stock.
\nAs a result, essential diagnostic tests for patients with endocrine disorders, cancer, kidney\u2011transplant needs, electrolyte imbalances, and complete blood counts have been halted entirely.
\nThe ministry added that 72 percent of bacterial culture materials are no longer available, severely limiting the ability to diagnose infections or determine appropriate treatments.
\nIt noted that no laboratory or blood\u2011bank supplies have been allowed into Gaza for months, pushing the medical system to the brink of paralysis and threatening the ability of hospitals to diagnose patients or carry out surgical procedures.
\nThe Ministry of Health called on all relevant international bodies to intervene urgently to replenish laboratory and blood\u2011bank stocks, warning that the continued blockade on medical supplies will lead to further preventable deaths and the collapse of critical health services across the Gaza Strip.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
